This will be a 2.5 day session focusing on Kesa/Rakusu Sewing and repair led by Françoise Kosen Laurent

Françoise Laurent has been sewing kesas since 1976, the year that she received nun ordination from Master Deshimaru. She regularly leads kesa sewing sessions at La Gendronniere temple and at various dojos in Europe.
This session will consist of 2 periods of zazen per day on Friday and Saturday with focus on repairing and sewing of Rakusus and Kesas.

The weekend will finish with a 1/2 day of zazen on Sunday morning.

Cost: For Members of Friends of IZAUK: £110 recommended / £95 low-waged / £75 un-waged - For non-members: £125 recommended / £110 low-waged / £85 unwaged - You will receive a £5 discount if you send a £25 deposit with your booking slip - BEFORE 20th September.
Bring: Everything you need for zazen and your personal needs including sheets or sleeping bag and pillowcase. Also your sewing things if you have any. If you are repairing a kesa/rakusu try to bring thread of the colour already used and if there is a tear, matching cloth. Thread, needles and cloth will be available to buy. If you are bringing your own cloth to make a rakusu or kesa for ordination, please bring black.
